Go Ozark!

This week was homecoming week at our school. Monday was "go team go!" day...I wore my Akransas football jersey. Tuesday was "Jersey Shore" day...it was interesting to see what the kids wore...I, however, did NOT dress up. Wednesday was "Nerd Day"...I had all of my outfit on...suspenders, glasses with tape, pigtails, tight rolled khakis...but in the end I decided that I certainly could not go to school dressed like that...unprofessional even if it had shown school spirit... Thursday was "class color" day... (freshman=green, Soph=blue, juniors=purple, and seniors always wear pink)...I wore black!!!

Friday was "school spirit" day...everyone was dressed up in their Ozark tiger wear...I wore my tiger tail and ears...I got a lot of comments and looks but it was fun...

Friday night, Justin, Molly and I went to Ozark's homecoming football game vs Republic. We dressed in our football attire and headed to Ozark...It was PERFECT football weather! Ozark won!!!

Molly's bow is custom made by Michellene at Princess Couture Designs

God Bless!

Woo Pig Sooie...we still love our razorbacks!!

Even though the Hogs did not beat #1 Alabama on Saturday afternoon...we still love them and still love cheering for then. We had a good time getting all dressed up in our razorback red and cheering for Mallett and Petrino...even though they didn't win...

Nana, Granddad, and Uncle Sam came over to watch the game too...my dad is an alumni from U of A!!!
WOOOOOOOOOOOO PIG SOOIE!!!

By the end of the game, we all felt like that!!

In the end though, Arkansas couldn't pull out the big game!! Maybe next year!

God Bless the Razorbacks!!

Return of TV - Tuesday

Day 2 - Tuesday - of new shows' premires and old shows' return premires...

7:00pm - FOX - Tonight is an exciting night for most people...well...most people who LOVe music...I mean good music!

Tonight is the season 2 premire of GLEE!!!!!!

I started watching Glee in the middle of last season but fell right in love!! The music of Glee is amazing...and Fin's voice is...(ear muffs baby)...dreamy!!! When he started singing Faithfully by Jorney in the seaosn finale in May...I melted...(okay, I'm done now baby)...

In typical Glee fashion..."here's what you missed"...

The club (New Direction) decided to preform a medley of "Journey" songs at Regionals...which New Directions must place at to stay around at school...Faithfully, Anyway you want it, and Don't Stop Believing... AMAZING...
Finn told Rachel he loved her... Quinn had her baby... which she gave to the rival team's leader Shelby...
Vocal Adrenaline and Jesse perfromed "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen...which was also AMAZING!!!
Olivia Newton-John, Josh Grobin and some other weirdo...oh and Sue Selvester (the Chrrios coach and Shuster's enemy) are the judges at regionals...in the end...Vocal Adrenaline and another group, called Oral Intensity place, leaving New Directions behind...but in the end, Selvester gets the principal to give the glee club another year...oh and Shuster and Puck sing "over the Rainbow"...AMAZING!!!!

Here's the Season 2 premire introduction from FOX...

"After a tough loss at Regionals, the glee club is back as the underdogs of McKinley High. When the school is faced with even more budget cuts, Mr. Schuester pushes the kids to help recruit new members for the club. Rachel and Finn disagree on new recruits, and aren't sure they will be able to come together in perfect harmony."

9:00pm - NBC - Parenthood - I started watching this last season and it actually came on again last week...heres' the break down from NBC...

"No Good Deed" Adam and Sarah try to find a balance between their sibling and professional relationships while Julia causes drama at Sydney's school.

Good watching!

God Bless!!

A fun week of television

If you haven't figured it out yet...I L-O-V-E Television!!!!

Last week I posted about how excited I was that TV was back...here...This week is the week I've waiting 3 LONG months for. (those 3 long months were spend with my daughter....so I'm glad they were long)...But I thought it would be fun to catch you up on what I'm watching and what's happening on those shows. FUN FUN!!!

Tonight's schedule:
7:00 pm - Currently still open for a new show (not sure there's one I want to watch)
8:00 pm - NBC - The Event: This is something that I could be interested in... I think my hubbie might enjoy it as well. Since it's new there's no backgroud...so I'll give you the concept of the show... FROM NBC:

"The Event is an emotional, high-octane conspiracy thriller that follows Sean Walker (Jason Ritter, "The Class"), an everyman who investigates the mysterious disappearance of his would-be fiancée Leila (Sarah Roemer, "Disturbia"), and unwittingly begins to expose the biggest cover-up in U.S. history.

Sean's quest will send ripples through the lives of an eclectic band of strangers, including newly elected U.S. President Elias Martinez (Golden Globe nominee Blair Underwood, "In Treatment"); Sophia Maguire (Emmy Award nominee Laura Innes, "ER"), who is the leader of a mysterious group of detainees; and Leila's shadowy father (Scott Patterson, "Gilmore Girls"). Their futures are on a collision course in a global conspiracy that could ultimately change the fate of mankind."

8:00 pm - The CW - Gossip Girl: GG has actually been on for a week already but I wasn't so much interested in watching it...here's what happened last year...

Nate and Serena broke up and Nate started sleeping with Chuck's black book...
Chuck and Blair broke up and missed each other at the Empire State Building (for the big jester scene)...thinking that B had ditched him, Chuck slept with Little Jenny Humphrey...Blair found out and of course went nuts...
Chuck skipped off to Europe where he got shot and apparently helped by some hot girl (the blond from the Goblet fo Fire)...there's supposed to be some encounter b/t Chuck and Blair this week...
Dan found out that he stilllikes Serena so he broke up with Vanessa (who was in Costa Rica)...but then found out that he was baby daddy to crazy Georgina...
oh and Nate may have introduced us to the actual "Gossip Gir" herself!!! Either that or she's obsessed with Serena and Blair...

9:00pm - CBS - Hawaii Five - 0 : Seeing how this is also a new show (actually it's an old show but I'm hoping with a new set of stories) , I'll let CBS tell give you a run down...oh and I am throughly excited about the fact that Tweeter from Varsity Blues is on this show...and it appears he acts pretty much the same!!

"HAWAII FIVE-0 is a contemporary take on the classic series about a new elite federalized task force whose mission is to wipe out the crime that washes up on the Islands' sun-drenched beaches. Detective Steve McGarrett, a decorated Naval officer-turned-cop, returns to Oahu to investigate his father's murder and stays after Hawaii's Governor persuades him to head up the new team: his rules, her backing, no red tape and full blanket authority to hunt down the biggest "game" in town. Joining McGarrett is Detective Danny "Danno" Williams, a newly relocated ex-New Jersey cop - a working man in paradise who prefers skyscrapers to the coastline - but whose committed to keeping the Islands safe for his 8-year-old daughter; and Chin Ho Kelly, an ex-Honolulu Police Detective, and former protégé of McGarrett's father, wrongly accused of corruption and relegated to a federal security patrol. Chin's cousin, Kono, is a beautiful and fearless native, fresh out of the academy and eager to establish herself among the department's elite. McGarrett, repairing his relationship with his estranged sister Mary Ann, vows to bring closure to their father's case, while the state's brash new FIVE-0 unit, who may spar and jest among themselves, is determined to eliminate the seedy elements from the 50th state."

Overall, probably not going to be my favorite night...there are also old stand-bys if these don't pan out... Two and Half Men, How I Met Your Mother (I actually think we get to meet the mother this season), Rules of Engagment...we will see I guess!!!

Tomorrow: GLEE, and Parenthood (The Good Wife doesn't come on till next week)...

God Bless!

Photoshop Edits...it's a process

I wanted to show you some edits I've done in the past couple of days...don't ask how b/c I'm still not sure...

BEFORE

AFTER

I obviously cropped it and zoomed it. I intensified the red flower and desaturated everything else. I also erased some of the spit up that was on her mouth.

I'm pretty proud of myself...What do you think?

Show us your life Fridays - Living Rooms

Over at Kelly's Korner, she's hosting Show us your life Fridays and she's doing home tours...this week is living rooms...

At one point over the summer, we thought we might list our house..so, I began the process of decluttering. It didn't get very far b/c we decided to wait. So...I got the majority of my pics taken down. I've gotten a few put back up. Feel free to comment on how to make my living room better...
This is what you see when you walk in the front door.

The view from "the Hole"...(see picture below for explaination)...I love my glider...we need a new dining room table...tha's for another post though...This is what we call, "the Hole"...it's this odd sitting area beside the front door. We've finally gotten it decorated...but guess what...we never sit there...it's the chair we use to hold Molly's carseat and take her month pics... The view from the kirchen...I would really like to get rid of that tv and get a flat panel...but what would we do with that one...put it n the basement of our new home...if we get a new home with a basement... The view from the fireplace...I LOVE our big brown couch...it's so comfortable...it's where I spent the majority of my pregnancy...

Our fireplace and mantle... I usually decorate it for the season...it's currently decorated boringly (if that's a word) b/c of the idea of moving...(oh, and ignore Molly's toys on the bottom) In "the Hole"...I love this b/c Justin and worked really hard on these pieces...I usually change the flowers but I didn't get to that this summer, these will stay through the winter...

This is similar to the piece above...both were a part of my childhood bedroom suit...there's also a book shelf that goes on the piece above but we didn't paint it. The piece below is the nightstand. We primed them with Kilnz, painted them black and then gave them a coat of glaze and beating...the nightstand now serves as our table between the couches.

I thought I would include this (it's not in the living room but the guest bedroom)...but I wanted to show you guys what the pieces above looked like before we painted them. This has a mirror that sits on it but it's still at my parents house. When we get a bigger house, I will use these in the guest bedroom. There's a bed (full or queen), a desk with a bookshelf, and chair, and a lingerie chest.

I would love to have a couch table and new coffee table but I need space for those things...like I said above though...maybe when we get a basement!

God Bless!

Tag - You're it!!

I've been tagged with a survery by Stacey over at You + Me = Three... Her daughter is too cute and her name is Abigail Grace...I LOVE that name!! Oh wait...

Here goes:

1. If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I think I've actually talked about traveling before...here...but I can't really decide one place...so I would love to take a Band of Brothers tour...England, Normandy, Germany...okay..Maybe I want to travel to Europe... that's one place right?

2. Which do you like better, cooking or baking?

This is an easy one...COOKING!!! I don't like all the rules in baking...like if you do one thing wrong, your bread or cake won't rise! I like the freedom of cooking...I like taking receipes that I've found online or in books and tweeking them a bit so they are mine. A spice here, some extra sauce there...you get the picture...

3. What type of music do you listen to?

All...mainly country though. But I do also like classic rock, and some pop.

4. What's your favorite holiday?

Halloween and Christmas...totally different, i know but let me explain...
Halloween b/c I know that I've just had a birthday and I love dressing up...
Christmas b/c of the reason...it's amzing to me that God's son was sent in the body of a tiny, precious baby...it makes my life as a Christian and a mother that much more special.

5. Are you an introvert or an extrovert?

OMG...an extrovert...nuff said!

6. Are you excited for fall? If so, what do you love most about the season?

I also talked about this recently...here...I love the fall...football, TV show premires...but the trees change and the air smells so nice...there's that kinda chill in the air and it makes me happy.

7. What websites do you frequent most often?

Blogger, The Bump (although not as much now that Molly is older and the drama got much worse), AOL, People

8. What is your favorite childhood memory?

I have this memory of playing at my grandparents house in Calico Rock...it's not really a specific memory but a group of memories. They had this huge rock patio that I would play house on, perform "shows", swing in the patio swing, have picnics with my grandmother...okay...I'm going to stop talking about that now...*tear*

okay, now it's my turn to tag some bloggers...

Heidi @ http://mrsforeste.blogspot.com/

Heather @ http://2thornberrys.blogspot.com/

Kendra @ http://kendramendez.blogspot.com/

Whitney @ http://thewilkinsjourney.blogspot.com/

Leah @ http://leahandross.blogspot.com/

Mel @ http://melandjimmyatkinson.blogspot.com/

Hilary @ http://hi-lane.blogspot.com/

Blair @ http://aaronblaircampbell.blogspot.com

Mallory @ http://mallorybthompson.blogspot.com

Now...here's my questions:

1. Where is your favorite place to shop?

2. What do you do for a living?

3. What is your dream job?

4. If you could LIVE anywhere in the world (no money limits), where would you live?

5. What's your favorite thing to cook? (feel free to include the recipe)

6. What is your favorite book that has become a movie? (you must like both)

7. If you could do anything and now that you wouldn't fail, what would it be?

8. What reality show would you love to be a participant on?

Have fun and God Bless!!

The Return Of Television

I LOVE the fall but let's be honest...what's not to love?
1. The weather rocks!
2. Football season
3. All the TV shows premire!!!

I watch too much TV...my hisband would agree...but I love losing myself in stupid shows...and boy howdy..I have a lot of shows!

So, for something fun...I thought I would post my TV schedule...granted a lot of these actaully begin next week...there are some that start tonight!!! WHOO WHOO!! My DVR is going to get a good workout b/c I'm nice and don't make the hubbie bubbie watch all these...:)

(All times are central - * denotes a new show!)

Monday:
8:oo pm- The CW - Gossip Girl -
8:30- CBS - Mike and Mindy*
9:00-Hawaii 5-0* - Tweeter from Varsity Blues and some other hot dude...might be interesting

Tuesday:
7:00 - FOX- GLEE - So obsessed right now!
8:00 - the CW - Life Unexpected
9:00 - NBC - Parenthood
9:00 - CBS - The Good Wife

Wednesday:
8:00 - ABC- Modern Family
9:00 - CBS - The Defenders* - also a remake of an older show (like Hawaii 5-0) - I see a trend!!

Thursday:
7:00 - CBS - Big Bang Theory - moved to Thursday!!
7:00 - The CW - Vampire Diaries
8:00 - CBS - CSI - I'm anxious to see whether they kill off Lawrence Fishburn - oh and Justin Beiber in the premeire...maybe they'll kill him off to!!
8:00 - ABC - Grey's Anatomy - OMG!! Tha's all I'm going to say!

Friday: For the first time since TGIF (when i was a kid - Family Matters, etc.), I actually have Friday night shows!!
8:00 - CBS - CSI:NY -
9:00 - CBS - Blue Bloods* - Tom Seleick, Donny Walberg, some other hot guy...police drama se tin NY...sounds good...a bit like NYPD Blue though..hummmm

Overall, CBS is going to have the majority of my attention...It used to be on NBC (Friends, ER, Etc)...I honestly think that CBS has it's finger on the pulse of the tv audience. NBC gets a failing grade in my opionion. 1 show that I'm interested in - that's ridiculous... I though maybe The Event would be interesting but after watching the previews, it looks a bit lik Lost to me...I never got that show.

What's your favorite shows? Leave me a comment!
