Throw me to the tiger...at last...an update!

I tried to update last week and google decided that it wasn't time yet. it's been almost a month or more since I last updated the baby blog. So much has happened since then. I'm currently 31 1/2 weeks along. Friday, I will be 32 weeks and only have 6 weeks left. (5 weeks until I'm full term)...WEIRD!!! I've taken a few pictures...here you go...

28 weeks

29 weeks

30 weeks

I don't have the 31 week picture uploaded yet...but maybe in another month...Kidding!!

I love it when:

1. Molly kicks and twirls and punches!

2. When Molly has the hiccups...I know that sounds cruel but it's the most fascinating thing.

I do have one complaint...my back is killing me!! It's uncomfortable to stand, sit or lay down. I've sit on a heating pad...it's helping some. 8 1/2 weeks is going to be a long time.

More to come!

27.5 weeks!!

So I've stunk recently at updating. I have a few new things to tell:

1. I had my first shower a couple of weeks ago! I had so much fun! We made scrapbook pages! They turned out so well! Justin, Molly and I got a lot of great stuff! Molly got a lot of great clothes! She's never going to have to go naked...the poor girl! So many clothes!

2. I passed my gestational diabetes test last week!! YAH!!!! The stuff I had to drink wasn't too bad, it just made me sick and very tired.

3. On Friday, I will be at 28 weeks. Officially in the 3rd trimester!! 12 weeks left!! That's just nuts!! I'm excited and getting a little nervous!

Below is the last two weeks worth of pics...
26 weeks
27 weeks

I thought I'd also update the baby survey while I was on as well!

How far along?: 27.5 Weeks

How big is baby?:

By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She's also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

You're in the home stretch! The third and final trimester starts this week. If you're like most women, you'll gain about 11 pounds this trimester. At this point, you'll likely visit your doctor or midwife every two weeks. Then, at 36 weeks, you'll switch to weekly visits. Depending on your risk factors, your practitioner may recommend repeating blood tests for HIV and syphilis now, as well as doing cultures for chlamydia and gonorrhea, to be certain of your status before delivery. Also, if your glucose screening test result was high and you haven't yet had follow-up testing, you'll soon be given the 3-hour glucose tolerance test. And if the blood work done at your first prenatal visit showed that you're Rh negative, you'll get an injection of Rh immunoglobulin to prevent your body from developing antibodies that could attack your baby's blood. (If your baby is Rh positive, you'll receive another shot of Rh immunoglobulin after you give birth.)

Around this time, some women feel an unpleasant "creepy-crawly" sensation in their lower legs and an irresistible urge to move them while trying to relax or sleep. If this sensation is at least temporarily relieved when you move, you may have what's known as restless legs syndrome (RLS). No one knows for sure what causes RLS, but it's relatively common among expectant mothers. Try stretching or massaging your legs, and cut down on caffeine, which can make the symptoms worse. Ask your caregiver if you should try iron supplements, which can sometimes relieve RLS.

Total weight gain?: Last week, at my appointment, I was weighing in at 165. That means I've gained 20 pounds!!

Maternity clothes?: Yes...about to have to go to all clothes. As expected, basketball season has become rather funny. I wear my jeans through practice and a t-shirt. Most of my t-shirts though, are not fitting anymore!

Stretch marks?: No... I'm lucky so far!

Sleep?: Still haven't bught the Snoogle, but don't think I'm going to until absolutley necessary. I have what equals two body pillows on either side of me.

Best moment this week?: Passing my GD test and winning our basketball game on Friday.

Movement?: Everyday. She's very active in the morning and at night. They are starting to sting a little bit. She's getting stronger!! I love being able to feel her!

Food cravings?: Fried pickles! I still haven't eaten any though!

Labor signs?: No!!!!!

Belly button in or out?: The bottom half is out!!

What I miss?: Playing basketball with the team. AND...my hips and groin area not hurting!

What I'm looking forward to?: Thanksgiving...next Thursday!

Time for reflection and random thoughts!

First off...tomorrow I will be 26 weeks!! Just two more weeks of the 2nd trimester and on to the third. I've posted last week's picture. I suck at putting the pics in the blog on time. It's just a week late!! Back of me! They are technically the same picture, with different angles in the nursery. (Which is almost finished)

Secondly...things are going good. Molly is back to her 'ol self again and moving around in there. I'm such a worry wart. I forget that she gets tired too. This momma's been extra tired this week too! I know what she's going through. Casey (the 8th grade coach) is out of town due to a death in the family and I'm running practice alone. Stressful!! Tomorrow...Friday...we have practice at 6:00am!! BOOOOO!! Yesterday, I got so tired around noon, I pulled a George and took a 45 minutes nap under my desk at work. I've got a blanket to lay on and a pillow to cuddle with. Can't get any better...oh except the hard floor. But it will due! No nap today however....I'm feeling pretty good! We'll see around 3:00ish.
Complaint of the week: I'm getting kinda tired of these DOUBLE leg cramps!! Well worth it though! The other night I woke up and couldn't get it stretched back out! I limped around all day yesterday! I just need to stop stretching out in bed!
Randomness: This morning I was driving into wrok and Taylor Swift's new song "15" came on the radio. Could that girl written a more true song. See the song lyrics and link below if you don't believe me or don't know what I'm talking about.
"Fifteen" lyrics by Taylor Swift
"You take a deep breath and you walk through the doors
Its the morning of your very first day
you say hi to your friends you aint seen in a while
Try and stay out of everybodys way
its your freshman year and youre gonna be here
for the next four years in this town
hoping one of those senior boys will wink at you and say
you know I havent seen you around, before
Cause when youre fifteen and somebody tells you they love you
youre gonna believe them
and when youre fifteen
feeling like there nothing to figure out
well count to ten, take it in
this is life before who youre gonna be
fifteen
You sit in class next to a redhead named Abigail
and soon enough youre best friends
laughing at the other girls who think theyre so cool
well be out of here as soon as we can
and then youre on your very first date and hes got a car
and youre feeling like flying
and youre momas waiting up and you think hes the one
and youre dancing round your room when the night end
when the night ends
Cause when youre fifteen and somebody tell you they love you
youre gonna believe them
when youre fifteen and your first kiss
makes your head spin round but
in your life youll do greater than dating the boy on the football team
but I didnt know it at fifteen
When all you wanted was to be wanted
wish you could go back and tell yourself what you know now
Back then I swore I was gonna marry him someday
but I realized some bigger dreams of mine
and Abigail gave everything she had to a boy
who changed his mind and we both cried
Cause when youre fifteen and somebody tells you they love you
youre gonna believe them
and when youre fifteen, dont forget to look before you fall
I've found that time can heal most anything
and you just might find who youre supposed to be
I didnt know who I was supposed to be at fifteen"
It's so funny because looking back now, putting stuff in a box, crying...it's amazing how all that doesn't matter. I found one of those boxes this weekend and my question is now..."What do I do with that stuff?" It's not important to me because my life is now my box. Justin and Molly are my life. The important stuff you can't put in a box. I told you it was random thought day!
Moment I'm looking forward to this coming week: My first baby shower is on Sunday at kelly B's parent's house. I'm super exciting about the "activity" we are doing. Everyone there is going to make a scrapbook page for Molly's scrapbook that I will hopefully get to after she's born. I'm excited!!
God Bless...more to come later!!

25 weeks!! Update on the pregnancy!

I thought I'd give you a little update...just to let you know what's going on with the actual pregnany! Here you go!!

How Big is the Baby at 25 Weeks Pregnant?
By pregnancy week 25 your baby is approximately 1.5 pounds and just under 13.7 inches long. From this point on however your baby's weight and length may vary somewhat. Every baby is different as you'll soon realize during your pregnancy week by week. Some babies will be born weighing 7 pounds and others 10.

Your Baby's Growth and Development
Your baby is continuing to mature during pregnancy week 25 and for the next several weeks. The structures that form the spine start to form around pregnancy at 25 weeks, and blood vessels in the lungs continue to develop this week. Other things that are shaping up during pregnancy at 25 weeks include our baby's nostrils, which may open up by the end of this week.
Your baby is starting to put on just a little meat, and will continue filling out as your pregnancy progresses.

Your Growth and Development
Your uterus is now about the size of a volleyball at 25 weeks pregnant!! (WHAT?) As your uterus continues to grow you'll notice it places some pressure on your back and pelvis. This can sometimes cause you to experience shooting pains either down your leg or in your lower back. For some women these pains get more and more severe during pregnancy. (No kidding!!?)

How far along?: 25 Weeks

Total weight gain?: At last weigh in, I was at 159. That puts me gaining 14 pounds so far. The nurse thought that was okay so I'm not worried. I'm trying to get more protein in my diet.

Maternity clothes?: Yes...I started buying medium size t-shirts...and a few I bought a couple of weeks ago are about to be too small!! AHHHHH! Basketball season will be real fun if I don't have any t-shirts to wear.

Stretch marks?: No... except the ones on my hips

Sleep?: I've figured out the proper way to snuggle with my body pillow. I was hoping I would get a "snoogle" for my birthday...but no such luck. My grandparents gave me some money though so that might be what I buy!

Best moment this week?: I know this sounds strange, but finally being able to get the flu shots! I've kinda been nervous around all my sick kids at school b/c I hadn't had one yet.

Movement?: Everyday. She's very active in the morning and at night. They are starting to sting a little bit. She's getting stronger!!

Food cravings?: Milk... I can't get enough of the stuff!!

Labor signs?: No!!!!!

Belly button in or out?: The left side is peeking it's little head out a little bit!

What I miss?: I finally had some sushi... (veggie roll - calm down!)... But I miss being able to get out on the court with my girls and play with them!! Now all I want to do is sit down! (which I usually do)

What I'm looking forward to?: My shower in a couple of weeks. Danielle and kelly are going to throw a great one!! I can't wait!
Hope all have a great weekend!!! God Bless!

25 weeks...tomorrow! AND...a nursery update!

Tomorrow, Friday, October 30th, I will be at 25 weeks!! Only 15 weeks left!! Some days, this is flying by. Other days, it feels like I'm just dragging along. I haven't updated the blog in a while. Here I am last weekend at 24 weeks.
Justin and I have been working very hard this week on the nursery. Our furniture was delivered last Friday. It's so pretty!! The chest of drawer's top drawer was broken so we have to wait to have it exchanged in a few weeks. Forget it...I'm over it! I've still got some things to put up on the walls. And we've moved in the newly painted, red toy chest. those pictures to come later. My mom and Justin worked so hard on the darn tree on the wall!! It took 4 1/2 hours!!! I think it's looking good so far!!

Yesterday was my birthday!!! I turned 26!! I can't believe that I'm 26 and about to have a baby! CRAZINESS!! To celebrate the day of my birthday, I went a got both flu shots!! That was exciting! My mom brought me Tea Room for lunch (including some cheese cake) and Justin took me to Jimmy Johns for dinner. We had plans to go to Bijan's downtown but my stomach has really been acting up this week. I didn't want to go to a fancy, shmancy place to eat and end up throwing it up. SO.....we are going tomorrow night! I think Danielle and Kelly are taking me out tonight so we'll see if I feel like eating anything. Right now (11:15), it ain't so good!
I've had basketball try-outs the last couple of days (to celebrate the day of my birth)!! I made cuts yesterday. I kept 13. We're going to be okay! We'll see! We've got practice tomorrow morning at 5:45 AM!!! That will be a treat!
More pictures to come!! God bless!
