38 weeks and a full moon!

As of today, I have 2 weeks until my EDD. I'm so ready to hold my little, precious princess in my arms. I went to my doc appt today and had my first experience with getting "checked". I was totally expecting to hear "No progress"...and after a very UNPLEASENT experience... I heard...

"1 cm dialated and 75% effaced!"

Holy Cow! I was kinda excited! Now...that really means absolutley NOTHING! BUT... I was still excited!

Here's the survey this week:

*How far along?: 38 weeks!!

*Total weight gain?: 35 lbs. (Up one pound this week)

*How big is baby?: around 7 lbs. (estimate), 19 inches long

*Sex: GIRL

*Maternity clothes: Most of my maternity pants still fit but most of my shirt are getting a little snug.

*Stretch marks: Good genes..although my mom had them... :)

*Sleep: Sleep is still just okay. I've lost a lot of sleep this week b/c I've been so worried! I'm trying to keep myself calm but...it's really hard.

*Best moment this week: Getting a snow day today. It was a nice surprise... OH... and spending all my Christmas money, gift cards and gift money (*thanks Pappa) on everything else that we needed before she got here. My mom went on Monday to Target, BRU and Baby News...the big purchases of the day: extra car seat base (which is installed and ready to go), bath toy holder, humidifer, bottle drier, etc. Nothing too exciting!

*Movement: This is the reason I've been so freaked out this week. She's started getting very quiet andf it totally weirds me out. She's been very active today though.

*Food cravings: back to fried pickles!!

*Labor signs: 1 cm dialated and 75% effaced. Still having some pretty intense BH but nothing real.

*Belly button in or out: Still out!

*What I miss: Sushi....I've decided that's going to be my "hospital" dinner. An Eye of the Tiger roll and Jurassic (spelling) park roll. YUM!!

*What I'm looking forward to: Meeting Miss Molly! Whenever that may be. Tomorrow is a full moon...here's to the barametric pressuring changing!

In honor of Miss Molly being considered "full term" today, an updated pregnancy survey!!


*How far along?: 37 weeks!!

*Total weight gain?: 34 lbs.
*How big is baby?: around 7 lbs. (estimate), 19 inches long
*Sex: GIRL

*Maternity clothes: I'm so ready to be able to zip my pants again!! AND wear a belt!! Whenever that may be!
*Stretch marks: Nope...not a one yet!!

*Sleep: What's this? Actually, it's touch and go. I'm only getting up once a night (maybe twice) to pee so that's not so bad. My dreams and Molly's new movement pattern are what typically keep me up these days!
*Best moment this week: Hitting full term!

*Movement: Decreased but still steady! I'm getting rolls and pokes now. And it seems that Miss Molly has nighttime figured out!
*Food cravings: Pizza...weird! Ice cream...yum!

*Labor signs: She dropped this week. (Doc confirmed it) I'm having some pretty intense BH contractions.
*Belly button in or out: OUT!! So ugly!
*What I miss: Normal jeans... small size shirts...belts...a number of other things too!
*What I'm looking forward to: My last shower this Sunday at church! And then I'm going shopping on Monday to get what we still need (and to spend my christmas money and gift cards)

OH...and BASKETBALL BEING OVER TONIGHT!!! We play Nixa again tonight (For the 3rd time) So ready for it to be over! Wish us luck!

101 in 1001 days List

So I've decided to start my 101 in 1001 list. I've only gotten to task 25. I'm not going to start the 1001 days until i finish the list. Hopefully I will be finished by the end of the week.

I will be 37 weeks on Friday so expect an update! 3 1/2 weeks left!!!

PLUS....my mom and I got crafty this weekend and made some burp cloths!!

36 weeks today!

I am 36 weeks today! 4 weeks out from my due date!! That's just 1 week from being full term! I'm a little dumbfounded by that thought! The last 36 weeks has gone by so quickly but it has seemed so slow going through it! Does that make a lick of sense?

What's going on with Molly this week?

Your baby is gaining about an ounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. She's shedding most of the downy hair that covered her body, as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. Next week, your baby will be considered full-term. Most likely she's in a head-down position, but if she isn't, your practitioner may suggest scheduling an external cephalic version, where she'll try to turn your baby by manipulating her from the outside of your belly.

Big things from the past few weeks:

1. Justin and I met our pedietercian (spelling) on Wednesday. his name is Dr. James Phillips. He is very young and seemed like the right "fit" for us. PLUS...he was one of the only ones taking new patients in St. John's...AND he works with my old pedi...Dr. Bernard Greismer.

2. My little 7th grade basketball team beat Nixa last night!! We played very well and it was a really good game. We won by 5 in overtime! Whoo Whoo! 1 more week of basketball left for this season! And I have to say...I'm sooooooo ready for it to be over! Mainly because I know that it will be one step closer to Miss Molly being here! We will probably (that's almost definent unless one of us just screws up) have to play Nixa again next Friday night for the championship of the Nixa Tourney!

PLUS...my wonderful Papaw got to come up and watch me coach it up. It makes me feel good that he's so proud of me. I love him dearly!

I don't have any printed yet but I'm going to work on that maybe this weekend. I would like to get at least an 8 X 10 for her room. I'm thinking the one with the pacifier. Maybe one with the white and red background. I'm not sure. There aren't many with my face and that background though. Any opinions?

Things that I need to do this weekend:

1. Finish packing my hospital bags.

2. Begin washing all of the little missy's clothes!

3. Make a list of things I need to "grab" on the way to the hospital.

- make-up

- hair supplies

- face wash

- phone charger

I'll think of more later!

4. I would like to make some meals that I can freeze before she gets here. that way I only have to take it out of the freezer, pre-heat the oven, and bake. Any suggestions? I'm also thinking I might go to Sam's and just buy some of those dinners (like lasagna).

Okay...I'm done rambleing! Say a little prayer for Justin, Molly and I tonight!
